NWR Swap Meet, check it out

Please join us for our 1st annual Northwest Riders Swap Meet on Saturday, December 13 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. We will be pooling all of our new and used wake, snow, surf, and skim gear with that of many of our team riders. With so much gear coming from sponsored riders, you’ll be sure to find new or used boards, bindings, clothing, ropes/handles, board bags, etc. at prices you won’t find anywhere else. This will also be a great chance to swing by and check out all of our new Northwest Riders winter clothing. The swap meet will be held at our office at 3859 NE 178th St in Lake Forest Park (98155). Nice Pop Update #1

Still in the editing stages of "Nice Pop" but a few sections have been put together and are looking sick!

We are going for a completely different feel than our 2008 release "For the Moment." This video has a lot more bangers, 5-shuvs to the max, bigerspins out, and crazy log jibs!

If you want to help contribute to the video, post some music suggestions in the comments and you never know...if we like what we hear you could see your suggestion used in the video.

Also, we've added a few applications to the blog.

Feedjit: Shows where visitors are viewing from, if you've never commented please do, we'd love to hear from you!

Followers: This app shows who follows the blog, don't be shy, plus we are contemplating Random product giveaways to blog followers so it could pay off in the long run!

Little reminder

Here in Seattle the first inklings of snow in the mountains are appearing. Although the crew are all involved in snow sports it is sad to finnally admit that summer...as well as fall... are finally over. Don't keep your board in storage for too long though, I have a feeling summer is a little closer than you think.

Hopefully this shot can put a little bit of summer back in your winter.

Edit in Progress

Richard has been at the helm capturing, logging, and cutting the 20 odd hours of tape going into the new DB movie "nice pop". This gem won't be dropping until may 2009 but we will try and keep you updated all winter long!!!

The movie is looking epic. Tottally different feel to it than "for the moment" more spins then your brain can handle!

Keep checking back for updates...we've got some surprises in the works.

Last Sesh

The teams last film sesh went down in Bellingham last weekend. It was sick! Weather could have been a little warmer but the team threw down as always. Some sweet shots and nice photo's were taken, but we're saving those for next year! here's a little peak though.

Skim Fest 08

The DB Skimboards Crew loaded up the can again last week and drove the 12 hours to Sacramento for Skim Fest 2008. We sessioned a few skateparks along the way and got to Sac on Friday. Skimmed that evening and then hit the comp up on Saturday. Temps were in the mid 90's and Sactos best were out in full force with some really sick rails. The finals went down as the sun was setting on the river as all of the riders threw down their best tricks. At the end of the day Isaac walked away with 2nd, Blake with 4th and Richard in 5th. Props to Lon and the Sacto crew for the great skim comp.

**As promised (3 months ago) our clothing line will be out in the next week. If you look close in the pics you can see the new "DB collage tee" (jade shirt, with black and white DB logo).

Chambers Creek Throwdown 2008

Its going down! Chambers Creek Skim Comp, ollie-on's, big pop, and stezzy banks! Bring your best and we'll bring the features. We are fully permited and insured so this years comp is going to be legit (good job tim!). Come out and compete, this comp is going to be jam format and laid back to the max. Have fun! Longbeach- SkimJam Demo

Come check this out! It's going to be a good time. We will be in Longbeach, Wa on Saturday and Seaview, Wa on Sunday. The DB team will be there representin'. Call Skookum Surf Co. at 360-642-RIDE for directions or more info.

Howarth Park Rail Jam

Saturday the DB Skimboards team went down to Howarth Park in Everett Washington to check out the LSS rail jam. The LSS guys did a great job setting up the event and some fun rails to hit. Everett locals really blew us away, we had no idea people were ripping that hard up north! Great to see it.

Blake from DB walked away with best trick with a pop shuv over the flat of the battle ship clearing all the way to the down. Congrats Blake you killed it!

Thanks again to all the LSS guys for throwing such a fun event, and to the everett locals for sharing the beach!

PS: We promised an 08 clothing line in june...it's now august...we've been busy but we're getting our act together. We'll try and get it out soon! More posts to come, the team is planning a few road trips up north and also down south... we'll let you know.

Update from Utah!!!

Saturday, July 12th, marked the annual Virgin River Classic in St. George, Utah. Due to a little rain the river turned out to be a bit high, but the competition staff made sure that the show would still go on. Blake Zimmerman, one of the team's newest riders, took 1st place in the 16-18 category and Isaac Thomas took 1st place in the Men's Open category. Here are some sweet pics and thanks to everyone that helped make this possible.
