DB Skimboards BIYD update: Blakes Part is done! Fully Legit.

Just finished editing Blake Zimmermans part for BIYD. The kid came through with a full part this year...filling a full 4 minutes including some super tech combos that put the man! in Zimmerman.

New DB team video, coming together...

The new DB Video BIYD is coming together nicely. All shooting has wrapped up for the season (except Blake's intro part, let's get that going Blake!). The video is being broken up into rider parts this year and they are looking really legit...

Richard moved from Browns Point to Stadium District in Tacoma and has a new editing Bay with a view of the sound. Expect some big tricks and solid parts from this new vid, teaser should be dropping sometime after the new year.

The Navarre Skim Invasion in northwest Florida recently went down. On the first day there were no waves so they brought out a rail. DB Skimboards team rider Lexi was there showing the wave riders how it's done. Here is a quote from Tad at Skim Invasion, "Highlights including some kid breaking his foot, and Lexi Hutchings showing up and owning the rail and 90% of the other skimmers trying the rail."

Last Sunday DB team riders Richard, Emile, and Isaac took the 20min drive from Bellingham WA to White Rock BC to meet up with Kyle Lynch and Crew for and October Style Skim Sesh.

We got lucky on the weather and skimmed in the brisk morning air and October sunshine. Lynch brought out an up box, flat box, and down box so we made various combos from the three.

The crew did their best to shred the various obstacles while wearing a mix of suit jackets, jean shorts, and suspenders. Thanks to Kyle Lynch for bringing down the jibs and putting on a fun sesh.

Whiterock Sesh, This Saturday

Some of the DB Crew will be crossing the border this Saturday for a low key rail Sesh with Kyle Lynch and crew. Come out and celebrate October (Halloween) and wear your best non-traditional skim apparel (costumes are encouraged).

Now that Emile, Tony, Isaac, and Bryce are living in Bellingham for the year, they've still got some time to get those last minute bangers on film. Here's a shot from a session that ended just a couple of hours ago.

The DB Skimboards team has been filming a ton lately. WA has had a warm September and we have been taking full advantage of it getting sessions in at Chambers, Dumas Bay, White Rock and more. The boys have been destroying features and there bodies. Tony (aka tone diesl) got taken out for a while with a shin/knee explosion with the front of our A-frame (aka baby frame). Bryce is still feeling his bruised ribs from skimfest but is still charging. Isaac's got some gnarly scrapes from the shells at Dumas. Emile, Logan, Blake, and Richard are all doing all right though!

Look out for some truly miraculous tricks in our upcoming (not yet titled movie). We've logged more film hours this summer than ever before, so it should be one heck of a flick!

In other news, about half the DB team just moved up to Bellingham WA to attend WWU and surrounding schools. If you are a B-ham local or live near there (whiterock, van) get in contact with one of them and go shred before summers over (i guess it is already technically, but it's going to be 85 degrees today!).
