Dash Point Pro/Am Results

Dash Point Pro/Am Tommorow, Forecast looks good

This is the 6th year we've had the Dash Point Pro/Am. The first year we had great weather but the following 5 years we had a mix of clouds rain and wind.

It looks like we are finally breaking the cycle with sunshine and mid 70's predicted for tomorrow in the Tacoma area.

Here is what Komo news has to say about the weather "The morning cloudcover should be gone by lunchtime on Friday, so expect lots of afternoon sunshine and high temperatures in the lower 70s (exactly normal for the last week of June). It'll be even warmer on Saturday with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 70s."

GET STOKED.

We have gotten word that a lot of good riders from Sacramento, BC, UT, and all over WA will be competing. Can't wait to see what goes down.

Dash Point Rail Build, Almost Done...

Tim Mackey headed up the build this year with Tony Saddler, Isaac Thomas, and Richard Docter lending a hand a couple days work. The set ups this year will offer opportunities for riders to get progressive and go big...Long six anyone?

Lexi Hutchings and Matt Adams left this morning after 3 days of shooting. The crew got some sick footage for the upcoming DVD. Look out for Lexi, Isaac, Emile, Logan, and Tony all making appearances. This DVD is going to be a great way to learn some new tricks, and a sick video to watch and get stoked.

Last week we didn't post nearly enough.  We know you need that fresh media on the regular.  Here are a couple shots of Blake and Logan that Richard shot at the beginning of June at the "secret spot."  Look out for more photo's from this session in the next Tydle Mag.

On another note, Matt Adams will be in Tacoma this week as Richard, Isaac, and Matt shoot for EOS' upcoming "Sessions" instructional DVD.  We'll post more as things develop.

The good folks at Ally Distribution have put together a short "sneak peak" of Nice Pop. This clip shows you about 30 seconds from the opening section in the video. Riders featured in this clip are Isaac Thomas, Emile Panerio, Bryce Hermansen, and Blake Zimmerman.

So the event was a bit under promoted... But we had a great time and the Pool turned out really sick. The location was ideal and provided enough space and level terrain for a fully shreddable set up.

The pool took about 2 hours to set up and the team got a good 4 hour sesh before we had to tear things down. The consistent conditions (and soft carpeting to fall upon) gave riders the opportunity throw down some RIDICULOUS tricks. 360 shuvs in and out, true big spins, 540 shuvs out, one foot combos....it was impressive.

With views of a historical landmark (stadium high school), commencement bay, the cascade mountains and some good friends there wasn't a better place to be on a 80 degree Saturday.

Check the photos...Mini Movie is in the works, possibly in reserve for DVD extras but we might drop it on youtube if the demand is there...
