SKIM2LIVE Comp (Video)

Kirby Clarke just sent over an awesome edit from the SKIM2LIVE skimboard event in Cypress Texas. Check out DB skimboards team riders shreddin' it on some sweet boxes and jumps! It looks like Kirby was shooting with an SLR as well as a go pro which shines through in the edit which has a wide variety of angles and perspectives. Nice work Kirby! Good stuff!

DB Skim & Skate is now open for Business. The shop features a HUGE selection of skimboards, longboards, skateboards, bungee's, clothing and all the accessories that go along with them. We're a one stop shop and our staff can offer the best advice in town on what board is right for you. SKIM2LIVE (wrap up)

Team riders Isaac Thomas, Tony Saddler and Emile Panerio headed to Cypress, Texas this past weekend to participate in the 4th annual Skim to Live, a Breast Cancer Fundraiser via skimboarding. The guys arrived in Texas Friday around 2:00pm and were skimming from 4:00pm until sundown. Lot's of filming went down at Cypress Creek-the local skim spot which was an awesome place to skimboard. The Event took place Saturday and the team filmed bright and early before the event. Skim to Live was an enormous event. Over 600 people showed up at the creek to watch and over 8000 dollars was raised toward the battle against Breast Cancer. The contest was awesome, with some progressive riding seen in all divisions as well as some creative and well built features. Ryan Efaw and his close friend Carey Seyler put on the event and did a sick job. Huge shout out to Ryan and his family for their hospitality and to Carey and the rest of the Cypress crew that helped with the event, it was an amazing and humbling weekend.

Spot Finder: Best Photo Winner

We got a lot of great photo submissions for the Spot Finder contest but we narrowed it down to one winner: Zoel T. and his pictures of himself skimming at Spanish Banks in Vancouver, BC. These photo's were taken at sunrise and Zoel said the sessions was; "the raddest day of skimming I've ever had!"

Spanish Banks is one of the best skim spots in the world. The beach has hundreds of tide pools in varying sizes and depths. The sand has a clay like consistency and makes for great bank slides, endless rides, and somewhat pain free crashes. If you live in or ever find yourself in the Vancouver area this is a "must skim."
