Skim Spot Check: Pyramid Island, Haines Alaska

DB Skimboards team rider Bryce Hermansen just got back from a 3-week trip to Haines Alaska. Having to pack light (and not expecting to find any skim spots) Bryce had to fashion a low budget Streamline on his last day in AK. He managed to find a piece of scrap wood just big enough to make a board. Borrowing a saw and some red paint he managed to craft a skimboard good enough to ride (at least for the day).

He said he passed by many skimmable spots in Alaska, the one pictured is called Pyramid Island. Even at a positive tide he found tons of tidepools and buttery coastlines to ride.

If you are ever in AK don't forget your board shorts and skim!

Look out for more shots of this location soon...
